Do IP paging and call boxes need a separate system from our phones?

No. CyberData speakers, intercoms and call boxes register to your 3CX phone system as extensions. You page by dialing a zone, and a call box rings whatever phones or cell apps you choose. One system, one console.

Can a call box at a gate or dock ring a cell phone?

Yes. The call box is an extension, so it can ring the office, a ring group, or the 3CX mobile app on a cell phone, with after-hours routing on a schedule. A campground gate at midnight can ring the on-call manager directly.

We already have ceiling speakers wired for 70-volt paging. Do they have to be replaced?

Usually not. Hybrid CyberData units drive existing 70V or 25V speaker runs from the network, so you keep the speakers and lose the old amplifier and the separate wiring back to the phone closet.

Every device registers to 3CX as a SIP extension. Paging groups, call routing and after-hours forwarding are set up in the same console as your phones, and the mobile app answers a gate call box from anywhere.

Reaches the far buildings

Devices are PoE, so one Cat6 run powers and connects them. For a bathhouse, pump house, dock or barn, they ride the same point-to-point wireless link as the cameras.
